Sarah Ondaatje was born in Canada where she lived until studying art and design in Europe and the United States. She has participated in formal programs at The Académie de la Grande Chaumière and Université Sorbonne in Paris, at Harvard College and The School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and is a graduate of Middlebury College and The Inchbald School of Design.

Ondaatje’s work in bronze and on canvas focuses on the line of the female figure and the interpretation of language in art.
